A New Post is filled at the Jurassic Coast Trust
Earlier in the year, Nikki Greenleaf was appointed as the Executive Officer of the Jurassic Coast Trust. Nikki has a senior management background in marketing, communications and fundraising, and experience across all sectors in leading campaigns.
Jurassic Coast Trust Chairman James Weld said “it is a pivotal role in development and increasing the resources needed to support England’s only natural World Heritage Site. Nikki’s skills will be a great asset to theTrust”.
Since Nikki’s appointment a number of projects are already underway. Initiatives involving local stakeholders, businesses and visitors are being piloted this summer to be launched in 2008.
Recent projects supported include special needs education workshops; teacher training programmes linking World Heritage sites; DVDs for schools; and preparing the Swanage crocodile.
The Trust is also working closely with Durlston Country Park to raise funds for the rebuild of Durlston Castle and its education centre. As a registered charity, the Trust is able to act as a conduit for funding – one example is the public arts project for the Portland & Weymouth Partnership.
If you have a Jurassic Coast project you think meets with the Trust’s objectives, or alternatively would like to support the Trust in order to realise current projects, we would like to hear from you!
