Exciting opportunity for an artist to be commissioned to connect the communities between two World Heritage Sites.
The Fine Family Foundation would like to commission an artist to come up with an innovative concept which somehow connects the peoples from two different natural World Heritage Sites i.e. to enable some sort of interaction between our two communities. Promotion and interpretation is limited only by our imagination and we want creative ideas about how to connect the communities from these two sites. The concept will need to be feasible and, depending on future funding, will be implemented.
The funder is looking at a semi-permanent piece so one ‘installation’ (in loosest sense of the word) would be at Durlston Country Park and we would like this to connect to the other ‘installation’ which will be sited on another coastal and natural World Heritage Site. We have been considering Giant’s Causeway in N Ireland, however, we are open to other suggestions.
