Transition Project Manager: “Future Coast”

Part-time, approx. 9 months.

185 million years of earth’s history uniquely displayed through 95 miles of iconic coastline – the Jurassic Coast is England’s only natural World Heritage Site.

The Jurassic Coast Trust is the charity that works to look after this extraordinary coastline, safeguarding it and ensuring it can be understood and enjoyed by everyone. This is a challenging brief and we are about to embark upon a substantial programme of change and growth, creating a new approach to managing the complexities of the World Heritage Site and building a sustainable and inspirational organisation for the future.

Supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund, and in partnership with Dorset and Devon County Councils, “Future Coast” is a collection of change and development projects to be delivered in a tight timeframe, with a limited budget, all underpinned with ambitious plans for the future and huge passion for what we are trying to achieve.

We are looking for a talented change management or organisational development professional who can work confidently and creatively to deliver the effective transformation of the Jurassic Coast Trust. Ideally with a background in the charity and/or public sector, you will be an experienced and efficient project manager, with exceptional communication skills and the ability to turn your hand to a wide range of organisational issues and activities. Experience of high level business planning and strategic development would be an advantage. This is a role that would suit someone with a fantastic eye for detail, who has senior-level understanding of how organisations work and the ability to use common sense and team working to get things done.
