The World Heritage Coast and its Fossils

The World Heritage Coast and its Fossils by Sam Scriven

Sam is lead geologist with the Dorset and East Devon World Heritage Coast team and has recently written a book on its fossils.  He will place the coast in the context of other World Heritage Sites, which are places selected by UNESCO as being of “outstanding universal value” and recognised as part of the heritage of all mankind.  In 2001 the “Jurassic Coast” joined this select group of globally important natural and cultural sites such as the Great Barrier Reef, the Taj Mahal and the Great Wall of China.
