Bivalve shell

This is an easily overlooked but surprisingly common bivalve where it does occur. That said, the Lower Gault (Benettianus subzone) is very rarely exposed in Dorset or East Devon, and the most likely place to find this species is where the Gault is slipping onto the beach.
