Bivalve shell

Gas pipe dig

This bivalve was dicovered during temporary excavations for a gas pipe. Such works create a unique opportunity to see the rock layers under the ground and collect fossils from them. An important function of the museum is to hold those fossils, as it is very unlikely that a similar opportunity will ever arise again in that location.
