Ammonite

Additional images

This ammonite was found on the Dorset coast, but the same species is found in the coastal rocks of Yorkshire. The preservation of the Yorkshire specimens is different, but the fact that it is clearly the same species allows us to say that the Dorset and Yorkshire rocks in which they are found are of the same age.
