Ammonite

This is the only ammonite found which shows two apparent bite marks. It may show a sustained attack on the ammonite by a squid, or perhaps the inexperience of a juvenile squid. This specimen is a paratype of Bicrescomanducator rolli. A paratype is an additional specimen that helps to define the variation in the fossil species.
