Plesiosaur

Missing marine reptiles…

This broken left humerus (leg bone) is the first recorded plesiosaur find (1988) from the Eype Clay in Dorset. As far as we know, nothing else has been found since then. But the specimen illustrates the clear potential for large and spectacular finds which, because of their rarity, would be of huge scientific interest. Collectors just need to keep on searching!
