Jurassic Coast Arts Programme goes global

There has been international interest in the achievements of Creative Coast 2012, the latest Jurassic Coast Arts Programme project, which is drawing to a close in May 2013.The final part of this project was the production of a publication that sets out case studies and lessons learned from five years of linking the Arts with England's only Natural World Heritage Site.

Cliff Fall on the Dorset Coast

Following the landslide at St. Oswald's Bay between Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door on the morning of 30 April 2013, diversionary routes have been put in place by Dorset County Council and the Lulworth Estate, allowing the South West Coast Path to remain fully open and safe for visitors to this area.

Broadchurch: The Last Supper at Ellipse Caffé, West Bay

The event was a sell-out. Over 70 people packed Ellipse to watch the final episode and raise money for the charity Julia's House in the process.

A new take on the Jurassic Coast

The winners of the 2013 Jurassic Coast Award Photography Competition have been announced by the Jurassic Coast Trust. The overall prize for the image that best sums up a new and different view of the Jurassic Coast goes to Paul Haynes of Bournemouth for his work entitled 'Crepuscular and Cretaceous'.

Jurassic Coast Gateway nearing completion

Exmouth is taking pride of place at the Western end of the Jurassic Coast as finishing touches are applied at the Jurassic Coast Gateway. The £500,000 scheme will be completed in time for the Easter holidays, transforming the Orcombe area of Exmouth and highlighting its status as the oldest part of the World Heritage Site.
