You might think the best time to visit the coast is the summer, but just because the sun has left us for a few months doesn’t mean that you have to stay home. It isn’t just about relaxing on the beaches, there are plenty of reasons to visit the Jurassic Coast during the winter months – here are some of the things you can expect to enjoy on the coast in December.

The Jurassic Coast Trust is lucky to have a great team of volunteers and ambassadors who readily give up their time to support us over a huge range of fundraising activities. From running guided walks to helping at Dinosaur Sleepovers they are always there, cheerful and friendly, engaging people with the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site. 

This time of year is one of the best times to visit the Jurassic Coast and explore the various coastal walks that can be found there. The landscape takes on a whole different atmosphere in the winter, giving it an almost mystical feel. If you fancy seeing a new side to the Jurassic Coast, try out some of these popular walks.

We are very excited to be recruiting for a new Project Officer, working with the Jurassic Coast Trust CEO, Principal Officer for World Heritage and key stakeholders to help lead in the development and delivery of a vitally important piece of strategic work for the conservation of the World Heritage Site, the Protected Site Strategy.
