Sam Scriven, the Jurassic Coast Trust’s Programme Manager for Conservation and Heritage, leads a gentle walk in Budleigh Salterton, as part of East Devon Heath Week.
Wednesday 31 July from 2:30-4:30pm.
Please RSVP by emailing us.
Sam’s walk will commence at Fairlynch Museum in Budleigh, where attendees can view some of the oldest fossils to be found on the Jurassic Coast.
We will then head to Budleigh beach, home of the famous “Budleigh bun” pebbles. You can also see fossilised rhizocretions here, remnants of plants from the Triassic Period, over 200 million years ago. There are also fabulous views out towards Otterton Point and the River Otter.
The walk will conclude back in Budleigh by 4:30pm.
This event is free, though any donations to the Jurassic Coast Trust will be appreciated.
