To celebrate Dippy’s visit to the Jurassic Coast, the Jurassic Coast Trust have organised a series of free Interactive Art Days with local artiste extraordinaire Darrell Wakelam. Darrell will be venturing across Dorset, Devon, Somerset and Wiltshire, celebrating each area’s unique natural beauty to make long-lasting artistic creations in collaboration with local children on each day.

This day will be held at Littleham Primary in Exmouth on Saturday 3 March between 10am and 3pm. It is a free drop-in event held in the school’s hall. It is suitable for all ages and no booking is required. Dress for mess!

Darrell will be accompanied by a fossil display and Dippy Hats from the Jurassic Coast Trust, and by “Woody” the rhynchosaur with the Pebblebed Heaths Conservation Trust. There’ll also be a variety of food and drink available, a dino trail, pottery, birds of prey, and artefacts from Exmouth Museum. The Jurassic Coast Trust will also be bringing along Dippy’s 3D-printed replica skull for people to look at and handle.
