Join our Jurassic Coast Ambassadors for a guided tour of England’s only natural World Heritage Site. The Dorset and East Devon Coast World Heritage Site, known popularly as the Jurassic Coast, actually covers three geological time periods: the Triassic (250-200 million years old), the Jurassic (200-145 million years old) and the Cretaceous (145-65 million years old). In this way, it represents a dramatically visual ‘walk through time’, with each layer clearly visible.
The Jurassic Coast was also recently voted one of the top five greatest natural wonders in Britain.
From the sea, you can clearly see history take shape, with a variety of stunning natural landforms including Durlston Bay and Dancing Ledge.
