Tuesday 23 October, 6:00-9:00pm at Symondsbury Tithe Barn near Bridport.

Tickets available here.

A very special evening exploring the role of the Jurassic Coast in today’s world, hosted by award-winning foreign correspondent Kate Adie CBE. Kate will speak of her love for Dorset’s outstanding World Heritage coastline and host a Q&A session after our main talk.

Our main speaker for the evening will be Doug Hulyer FRSA. Doug has worked across the UK conservation world for more than 30 years, and in this talk he will explore the stories from the Jurassic Coast and deep time that resonate in the 21st century. Mass extinctions and climate change have happened before, so why should we worry? Can humankind learn from our deep past and create a better future for all life on Earth?

Our backdrop for the evening will be Colin Bentley’s exhibition of Jurassic Coast landscape paintings, and there’ll be opportunities to meet the artist before and after the talks.

Tickets £10 including nibbles. Drinks available at the bar.

Free entry for Jurassic Coast Trust Members. More information on membership available here.
