While the County Museum at Dorchester is closed for refurbishment it has been decided by the Dorset Geologists’ Association Group in collaboration with other groups to run a series of earth science based lectures from January 2019 to the end of 2020 when the Museum is planned to reopen.
The first lecture will be on Wednesday 9th January and is entitled Oil in Dorset. The speaker is Alan Holiday, Chairman of DGAG. A full programme is being planned and further details will be published shortly.
