Jurassic Coast Volunteer Network

JCVN_logo-fullAged over 18 and interested in kick-starting your career on the Jurassic Coast?

The Jurassic Coast Trust is looking for enthusiastic volunteers willing to work a day or two a week over a three month period, in a wide variety of roles including customer service, education work, outdoors activities and marketing.

To find out more and apply to join today, please email our Volunteer Network Coordinator, Caroline Pearce.

The Jurassic Coast Trust is excited to be launching a brand new programme for volunteers – a network of opportunities along the Jurassic Coast. The Jurassic Coast Volunteer Network links volunteers to openings across a range of businesses, museums, tourist attractions and visitor centres. The host organisations and businesses provide quality work experience and give testimonies at the end of the volunteering placement. This gives a chance for a volunteer to gain experience and enhance their CV and employability in an area of work they feel passionate about.

Using a dedicated and mobile-friendly area of our website, volunteers will be able to browse opportunities to suit their area of interest any time of the day or night. The Network Coordinator will help match them to the right role and work out logistics with each volunteer.

The network will provide valuable training, cover travel costs and pay for any necessary uniform or equipment. As the Jurassic Coast Trust is an AQA Centre, all volunteers will be able to participate in a Unit Award Scheme which helps the individual gain accreditation for their work, and encourages them to learn more about our fascinating coast. We will be sharing our knowledge through a series of interesting short videos, and learning will be reinforced with interactive quizzes.

Businesses will use the network to advertise paid job vacancies to our pool of volunteers, creating real employment opportunities for those that have participated.

If you would like to be added to our mailing list to be notified as soon as the opportunities go live, please email our Volunteer Network Coordinator, Caroline Pearce.
