This residential centre is a fantastic place to stay for all educational groups but particularly Key Stage 2 classes studying coastal environments. Schools can book accommodation and also tutors who can lead specialist Jurassic Coast activities.

This extensive accommodation provider for educational groups in Swanage has a specific Jurassic Coast programme that caters for KS2 and 3.  Based in the town, the residential facility also has onsite sports facilities and great access to the Jurassic Coast.

Brenscombe Outdoor Activity Centre

Corfe Castle near Wareham

Located in a beautiful farmhouse just outside of Studland, Brenscombe Outdoor Activity Centre is an ideal choice for schools wishing to choose adventure and activity alongside their learning. From learning about climbing with ropes to kayaking on the sea, the centre offers a large choice of how to engage and interact with the Jurassic Coast.

Carey Outdoor Education Centre, Wareham

Managed by Dorset County Council, Carey is based in Wareham Forest which is a short 15 minute commute to the Jurassic Coast.  The camp can accommodate up to 130 people in luxury Bell tents which is in addition to indoor bunkhouses and also a family camping pod. There is a strong emphasis on adventure skills and outdoor learning which can be led by tutors on site.

Osmington near Weymouth

Based near Osmington, this outdoor education facility is located on the Jurassic Coast with stunning views of Osmington Bay. Alongside adventure programmes, schools can also learn about the Jurassic Coast through local coastal geomorphology studies.

The Magdalen Farm, Chard

This is lovely farm nestled just over the border of Dorset in Chard offers schools a wholesome and fulfilling residential visit. There is a strong ethos on personal development through teamwork, learning about the farm and appreciating the local environment.
