It happens some times that one particular part of the Jurassic Coast gets busy with conservation issues. Like busses – nothing happens for ages, then three things come along almost at once.... Last week, we were looking at a new planning application to open up a mine on the east coast of the island, close to the World Heritage Site. Each one of these issues presents unique challenges and opportunities, and the mine is no different.

The Jurassic Coast Trust will be holding their Annual General Meeting on Thursday 28th November 2024 at 12pm online.

We are proud to announce that Saskia Elliott was recently invited to Burlington House in London to present the Geo-Heritage Sustainability Study (Protected Site Strategy Project) for the Engineering Group of the Geological Society of London’s Glossop Award.

As our long standing CEO departs for a new shores at the end of the year, Jurassic Coast Trust Trustees invite expressions of interest from an experienced Interim Chief Executive to lead our independent charity through the next stages of the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site Partnership Plan. 

Trustees of the Jurassic Coast Trust announce that Lucy Culkin, Chief Executive Officer, will be leaving the role at the end of the year, after 7 years with the Trust and 5 years in role as CEO.
