Madeira Cottage

Madeira Cottage and Little Madeira are beachfront holiday retreats on Lyme Regis’ Marine Parade.

Accommodating up to 6 guests, the larger of the two pink, thatched cottages has 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, the smaller has one bedroom and two bathrooms; both are available for self-catering holiday rental, either by the week or for short breaks.

The cottages are attractively and comfortably furnished with a mix pieces made by local craftsmen and antiques. The modern kitchens and bathrooms have been recently refitted. The bedrooms each have excellent beds and their own private bathrooms/ensuite. Newly installed heating, broadband and other modern features all contribute to a high level of homely comfort.

You will find the Madeira Cottages occupying  pride of place on the beachfront just beyond the high tide wall, only two minutes walk from the main thoroughfare of Broad Street. In the other direction, a gentle stroll along the front brings you to “The Cobb” harbour with its collection of pubs, ice cream stalls, fresh fish shop and other seaside traders.

We have a lock-up garage for the exclusive and complimentary use of our guests. This facility is a pleasant, 8-minute stroll from the seafront property, along the river and almost entirely on the flat.

Short Breaks

We offer a three night weekend or four night midweek stay during low season.

The cottages are available from Friday afternoon until Monday morning and from Monday afternoon to Friday morning. Start and finish days are fixed by our housekeeping schedule.
