The Winyards Gap Inn

Open 7-days a week, The Winyard’s Gap Inn is an historic family run pub that sits on the outskirts of the idyllic village of Chedington. Overlooking the glorious Dorset and Somerset hills it commands one of the finest views in the West Country. The Winyard’s Gap is a picture-perfect dog friendly location from which to explore the Jurassic coast and the area of outstanding natural beauty that is West Dorset.

Our cozy bar area is the perfect spot to relax with a refreshing pint of local ale or a glass of wine. Curl up by the crackling fireplace on chilly days or soak up the sunshine on our patio or our beautiful garden when the weather is fine.

Our dining room is open 7 days a week. Our main menu is available Monday – Saturday lunch and dinner and we also offer a selection of lighter bites and sandwiches at lunchtime. Sundays at The Winyard’s Gap are a relaxed affair and Sunday lunch is served from 12-4pm in our dining room, bar and on the patio whether depending!

Breakfast available for residents from 8am – 9.30am.

We believe in serving filling and well-crafted pub food with regularly changing specials and produce coming in fresh from the coast and other local suppliers. We cater for all dietary requirements.

We have six comfortable and stylist en-suite bedrooms, set back from the pub main building, all with their own private entrances. All of our rooms have king size beds, a dedicated working space and come with luxurious touches, including down duvets and pillows, Bramley bath products, fine cotton bed linen, free WIFI, digital radio, TV and coffee making facilities and fresh milk. Our rooms act as a perfect base for exploring all of what West Dorset has to offer.

Our larger studio rooms come equipped with a kitchenette, lounge area and private outdoor space which are ideal for longer stays. One of our double rooms can be converted to a twin room. Two doubles can make use of an adjoining door to cater for families.

All of our double rooms and one of our studio rooms are pet friendly (for a small additional charge of £10 per stay.)
