Dr Jonathan Larwood is a geologist with Natural England specialising in palaeontological conservation. He’s been involved with the area since the early 1990s helping develop what is now the West Dorset Collecting Code and was privileged to be involved in the process that led to the inscription of the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site. More recently he co-ordinated a conference with the Geologists’ Association and the Jurassic Coast Trust, celebrating 15 years of the Jurassic Coast in research and education.
Jonathan’s Jurassic Coast Hotspots
Lyme Regis and Charmouth are my favourite parts of the Jurassic Coast, at least they are certainly my most visited. But what interests me most is the rest: there’s always something new to find and to tell people about, which I hope as a Trustee I’ll be able to do more and more of.
