I am the Coordinator for the Jurassic Coast Volunteer Network – a new Coastal Communities Fund project to connect volunteers and businesses along the Coast. The project aims to provide valuable work experience and accredited skills training for local people whilst helping local businesses to make the most of the opportunities of this unique World Heritage Site.

My background is in managing non-profit organisations and helping to implement new administrative systems in emerging organisations. After graduating in Development Studies I worked for Project Trust, the Rainforest Foundation, Girlguiding UK and the Play Association Tower Hamlets. Having helped to organise many small and large scale events run for young people I particularly enjoy being involved in the play based activities organised by the Jurassic Coast Team for children.

My Jurassic Coast hotspot

Since working for the Jurassic Coast Trust I have discovered so many beautiful beaches that are new to me, particularly in East Devon. However, the ones we go to the most are closer to home. One is Hive Beach which is the perfect natural playground for our children and the other is West Bay which has a great buzz to it and Baboo Gelato icecreams….
