The Jurassic Coast is home to a seemingly limitless selection of Activities across the breadth of our two counties, three geological Periods, and 95 miles of coastline.

The obvious place to start is Walking – this is one of the world’s great walking destinations, and is supported by a superb network of walking trails to help you explore on foot to your heart’s content. Peruse our selection of downloadable walks or pick up an OS Map to begin your Jurassic Coast walking journey.

Venturing out to sea, the coast offers a bevy of Watersports (kayaking, coasteering and stand-up paddleboarding to name a few) along with the always popular Boat Trips.

Swimming is becoming ever more popular here and is a great way to experience the coastline in its most elemental form. ‘Blue space’ is a widely acknowledged booster of Health & Wellbeing, and it’s one of the reasons our coastline is so beloved by so many.

If you fancy dipping just your toes in, why not give Rockpooling a go at one of the coast’s prime sites? Check out our comprehensive guide for all ages to plan your next adventure.

If you’re after a more adrenaline-filled experience, you can also give Climbing on the Jurassic Coast a go – have a read through our handy overview to some of the best hang-out spots on our famous cliffs.
