One of the best ways to experience the awe-inspiring geology and landscapes of the Jurassic Coast is from the sea. From this vantage point, the intricate nooks, crannies and cliff-faces are on show in all their World Heritage Site glory.

Thankfully, Dorset and Devon are home to some superb local businesses who operate Jurassic Coast boat trips throughout most months of the year. Their teams are experienced and friendly, and they offer a great selection of itineraries to suit your area of interest.

The Jurassic Coast offer a pair of guided cruises each year, with commentary from our expert local Ambassadors. One of these, operated by City Cruises Poole, takes in Poole, Brownsea Island, Swanage and its accompanying features (such as Durlston Head and Dancing Ledge), showcasing the Site’s eastern end.

At the opposite end of the coast, Stuart Line Cruises offer a superb trip departing Exmouth, taking in the Orcombe Point Geoneedle, Ladram Bay and Sidmouth from the perspective of the sea. Be sure to book on to these early through our Shop as they are always popular.
