Otterton Mill

About

Set beside the River Otter in one of Devon’s most beautiful valleys, a warm welcome awaits you at Otterton Mill. Milling has taken place on this site for over 1,000 years, the first record of which is in the Domesday book, and the same traditional methods are used to this day. The Mill is listed as the 20th oldest business in the world.

Taste award-winning food and drink from our café-restaurant using the very best locally sourced produce with innovative menus prepared daily. Our artisan bakery create daily by hand wonderful bread, cakes and our must have scones for our award winning Devon Cream Teas. With a wonderful gallery and crafts centred around the Mill building and West Country food shop, the Mill is a one stop retail destination on the river.

Live music events, with acts from around the world, perform at ‘The Mill That Rocks’ events throughout the year. Just a short comfortable walk downstream links the Mill with the South West Coast Path and wonderful Jurassic coastline. On route you may encounter otters, beavers and darting kingfishers, all of whom call the river home. We look forward to welcoming all to The Mill.
