Tangerine Cafe & Gallery is located in Beaminster, just 7 miles from the coast. A small town of 3,000, Beaminster boasts a lovely church and is an excellent base for walks, with several Trails passing through.

Many visitors love strolling around the town with its interesting architecture and fine views. It makes a refreshing contrast to the crowded coastline yet is easily accessible to it.

  • Places to Eat & Drink

Tangerine Cafe was established in April 2019 by Sue and Chris. We offer teas, coffees and cold drinks along with meals of the day; toasted sandwiches and paninis; a selection of cakes and pastries to eat. Nearly everything we sell is homemade on the premises.

Our walled garden is very popular for outside seating in the summer. Our new orangery, due to be completed in early 2020, provides all year round views of, and easy access to, the garden.

Tangerine is also an art gallery, featuring 20-30 original works in a variety of styles from both local and non-local artists. We stock a range of poetry books, as Sue is an accomplished poet and publisher.

There are two rooms available for bed and breakfast; they are popular, particularly the Family Room that can sleep up to four. Our breakfasts suit a variety of tastes; not just the traditional ‘Full English’.

We pride ourselves on service. Kellie, our cafe assistant, won the Front of House Award from Bridport Food Group in 2019 in competition with many cafes from Bridport and the surrounding area.
