I am the Volunteer Network Co-ordinator for The Jurassic Coast Trust with responsibility for recruiting and placing volunteers into a wide range of opportunities offered by our partners. All the work experience is aimed at building skills and enhancing the careers of our volunteers, whilst making a real contribution to the work of Jurassic Coast organisations.

My background is in managing non-profit organisations and capacity building emerging organisations. I have always worked alongside volunteers and often had responsibility for their placements and welfare. After graduating in Development Studies I worked for the volunteer organisation Project Trust, the Rainforest Foundation, Girlguiding UK and the Play Association Tower Hamlets. Having helped to organise many small and large scale events I always enjoy working with a wide range of people that get involved.

My Jurassic Coast hotspot

Since working for the Jurassic Coast Trust I have discovered so many beautiful beaches that are new to me, particularly in East Devon. However, the ones we go to the most are closer to home. One is Hive Beach which is the perfect natural playground for our children and the other is West Bay which has a great buzz to it and Baboo Gelato icecreams….
