James Weld DL is a Chartered Surveyor, Deputy Lieutenant of Dorset and landowner, managing the 12,000 acre Lulworth Estate on behalf of the Weld family, which owns 5 miles of the Jurassic Coast including Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door.
James is a member of the Dorset Local Enterprise Partnership Board, a Council member of the Country Land & Business Association (CLA), the Dorset CLA vice-chairman and Patron of the Careline Appeal.
He has been involved with the Jurassic Coast from its inception, being a member of the World Heritage Steering Group since 1996 and is a founding Trustee of the Jurassic Coast Trust. He was Chairman until September 2016. In 2017, James stepped away from the board to become a Patron.
