The Woodland Retreat is the result of years of evolution and craft, building each of our unique spaces by hand. With your own private deck, en suite flushing loo, treetop hot tub and wood-fired pizza oven, enjoy the perfect back-to-nature break with all the creature comforts.
For over ten years, we’ve been welcoming guests to our magical world in the woods, known as Crafty Camping by many returning guests, from the days when we hosted traditional wood craft courses with camping. Founder Guy Mallinson was the “wood mentor” on BBC2’s Mastercrafts series (which was filmed here in the woods) and whose traditional craft skills have been used to create our spaces.
The Woodsman’s Treehouse won the RIBA South West award and was named the ‘Small Project of the Year’. It has also featured on George Clarke’s Amazing Spaces and Grand Designs House of the Year.
