Spot the difference

Plesiosaur vertebrae or backbones are very distinctive because they are usually as long as they are wide. Compare it to the ichthyosaur, crocodile and dinosaur backbones shown below it. This specimen is probably from the Upper Jurassic Kimmeridge Clay, offshore from Portland.
