Sightseeing and Fishing - Family Friendly Boat Trips along the Jurassic Coast

Nicks Fishing and Boat Trips departing from the iconic Cobb Harbour, Lyme Regis, wonderfully situated on the Devon/ Dorset border. Established for over 35 years we have access to some of the most beautiful sites on the Jurassic Coast , The Devon Undercliff, Black Venn and Golden Cap the highest point on the south coast of England with distant views to the sculpted sandstone cliffs of West Bay and Burton Bradstock, the Chesil Bank and Portland Bill.

Our boat ‘Kraken’ is fully licensed, insured and surveyed, we carry life-jackets and a life-raft, the skipper is a qualified and experienced seafarer. We can carry a maximum of 11 passengers. Our business style is easy going, family friendly, inclusive and safe.  We aim to  make you feel at ease and have a memorable trip. Everyone is welcome.  Our reviews on Google are worth a look.

We offer:

3 hour Deep Sea Fishing Trips- experienced anglers or beginners welcome. 

We have easy access to the sea and fishing marks, wrecks and reefs. We catch a wide variety of fish. All fishing equipment - rods, bait and tackle- are provided and lots of friendly advice and encouragement for those keen to learn. There is  an open access trip 9-12 noon for individuals and small groups to join or  We specialise in private charter trips - you can book the boat for you, your family or group.

Sightseeing & Mackerel Fishing

We offer you a one hour trip out into the bay to take in a panoramic view of the beautiful Devon /Dorset coastline and with the option to tow a line fishing for mackerel. Trips without fishing can be arranged, we offer private charter at a time to suit you call Nick to arrange a trip 0797 479 6002.

Bespoke Charters

If you’d just like to book the boat for a private trip that doesn’t fit into the above, such as scattering ashes , making a movie or some other private moment give Nick a call, text or email.

Booking

There’s no on-line booking, we like to talk to our customers and make sure what they are booking is right for them, if you prefer to text or email your enquiry will be equally welcome.

We offer longer trips by arrangement. We only operate in fair weather, April - November.

Payment on booking by bank transfer, debit card or cash. In the event of cancellation due to poor weather you will get a full refund. Please arrive at least 10 minutes before departure. Sorry no refund for late arrivals. Leave plenty of time for parking.

Access

The Cobb harbour is a remarkable structure built early 19th century the surface is rough in places, access to boats is from steps, few or several, depending on the state of the tide. Call if you have special access requirements we will aim to assist where we can.

Boarding with pushchairs is quite possible.
