About
The award-winning Dorset Seafood Festival, now in its 16th year, is recognised as one of the UK’s leading food and drink events, attracting upwards of 10,000 visitors to Weymouth and the surrounding area.
The event, held on Weymouth Peninsula, showcases Dorset’s wonderful fresh fish and shellfish as well as a host of incredible local and regional artisan producers and growers. Managed by a group of committed local small businesses and Festival supporters, the event has its roots in the town’s fishing community, and over the years has raised nearly £90,000 for The Fishermen’s Mission, making it the charity’s largest annual event contributor.
Last year saw record crowds gather on the Peninsula over the festival weekend, enjoying the sunshine, a fantastic choice of delicious, locally caught seafood, wonderful Dorset ales and fine English wines.
