The patrons, trustees and staff of the Jurassic Coast Trust extend our heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Professor Denys Brunsden, affectionately known as the ‘father of the Jurassic Coast’.

The Finalists have been announced for this year’s Dorset Tourism Awards which will be presented in Weymouth Pavilion on 1 February 2024.

With an abundance of coastal walks, the Jurassic Coast is a great place to walk your dog, but what about visiting the beaches? Not every beach is welcoming all year around, some have restrictions and others are happy for you and your furry friends to enjoy to their heart’s content!
