Considering how old the Jurassic Coast is, it’s hardly surprising that there are generations worth of stories to discover. Some of those stories are just down right spooky, which makes this the perfect time to delve into some of the Jurassic Coast’s ghosts and ghouls.

Hey, the Jurassic Coast is like the ultimate movie set! Seriously, it's been a backdrop for everything – we're talking war dramas that'll have you at the edge of your seat, and zombie thrillers that'll make your heart race. 

Here's the insider scoop on some of these flicks.

The Jurassic Coast Trust have partnered with Teemill to launch an organic clothing range inspired by the Jurassic Coast UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Cumulus Outdoors continue to support the Jurassic Coast, helping to inspire young visitors to learn about the Jurassic Coast, whilst raising vital funds to help look after it. Julian Sawyer from Swanage, one of the Trust’s volunteer “Ambassadors”, delivered a series of talks for young people undertaking their Duke of Edinburgh Gold Residential in Dorset with Cumulus Outdoors in 2022.

Once a place has been awarded World Heritage status is makes it quite hard to keep a secret, but it seems that not everyone has realised there are so many great reasons to visit the beautiful Jurassic Coast.

It is no surprise that one of the major draws to the Jurassic Coast is fossil hunting. A popular activity for all ages that sparks a day of adventure from complete beginners to expert collectors.

Just like the 95 miles of protected Dorset and East Devon Coast, the organisation responsible for its protection and conservation, is evolving and changing.

In response to a turbulent couple of years and ongoing challenges, we have developed our business strategy which puts the conservation needs of the Site and wishes of the local communities at the heart of our work programme.

Over the past couple of years, the Jurassic Coast Trust has been finding out just what it is that draws people here and what makes the Jurassic Coast a 'special place' for them.

We spent time developing our digital plans to create a new, all inclusive website which reflects the experiences and curiosity of visitors to the Site. We are delighted to announce that our site is now live!
