We are proud to announce that Saskia Elliott was recently invited to Burlington House in London to present the Geo-Heritage Sustainability Study (Protected Site Strategy Project) for the Engineering Group of the Geological Society of London’s Glossop Award. The entry was titled "Dynamic Cliffs and Coastal Shifts" and discussed how understanding the World Heritage Site's ever-changing site boundaries can be used for future conservation efforts and understanding of appropriate coastal engineering solutions in the future. Saskia received positive feedback for her presentation on the day, and although unfortunately the entry did not win the award, being shortlisted is an achievement in itself.

The Glossop Award is a highly respected honor within the field of engineering geology, recognising contributions to the field from early-career professionals. It celebrates the legacy of Professor Roland Glossop, a leader in engineering geology, by encouraging innovative research and solutions within the geological engineering field. To be shortlisted is a significant achievement, reflecting the quality of the work produced by the Jurassic Coast Trust team.

Whilst Saskia did not take home the award this year, we would like to extend our warm congratulations to the winner, Jordan Weddepohl, for his talk titled "UK levelised cost for geothermal heat and power" and look forward to hearing it in due course. We would also like to acknowledge the hard work of all the shortlisted candidates and thank the judging panel for their time and efforts in reviewing the submissions.

We look forward to continuing our Geo-Heritage Sustainability Study, and celebrating many more successes of the Jurassic Coast Trust team in the future.
