Dorset Holidaymakers Reach Fundraising Landmark

Thousands of holidaymakers at one of Dorset 's holiday park operators have achieved a remarkable fundraising landmark, raising nearly £100,000 since 2008 for the Jurassic Coast Trust, helping to protect, conserve and educate people about the Jurassic Coast.

This impressive landmark has been achieved through thousands of customers adding a small optional donation to their booking across the company 's four Dorset holiday parks. West Dorset Leisure Holidays are leaders in the field of charitable support along the Jurassic Coast, and their ground-breaking work has inspired over 70 other businesses over all sizes across the coast and beyond to join the Jurassic Coast Trust as Business Partners, contributing towards the ongoing protection of the World Heritage Site.

The donations come at a critical time for the Trust as it works to protect the Jurassic Coast, and to help people to visit and enjoy it in a safe and sustainable way.
