Cumulus Outdoors Raise Record Amount Of Donations For Jurassic Coast Trust

Cumulus Outdoors and the Jurassic Coast Trust have teamed up to help inspire young visitors to learn about the Jurassic Coast, whilst raising vital funds to help look after it. Julian Sawyer, one of the Trust 's local voluntary Ambassadors, delivered a series of talks for young people undertaking their Duke of Edinburgh Gold Residential in Dorset with Cumulus Outdoors in 2021.

Cumulus Outdoors donated £1 from each person in attendance to the Jurassic Coast Trust, helping to preserve the coastline for present and future generations to enjoy. Cumulus also collected donations from people booking onto their coasteering, climbing and abseiling activities throughout 2021, with the total donation amount reaching a record-breaking £700 for the year.

Cumulus are one of the Trust 's long-standing Business Partners, having originally come on board in 2015. Their partnership comes as the company continues its operations at their newly renovated Cumulus Outdoors Residential Centre in Swanage. In addition to their established tented villages, the centre accommodates approximately 100 students/teachers in three dormitories set in six acres of grounds.

There are catering facilities on-site including a dedicated dining area plus facilities for a variety of adventure activities with space for both outdoor and indoor recreation. The classroom facilities at the centre will encourage the inclusion of more educational elements within the residential programmes as Cumulus continue to develop the business partnership with the Jurassic Coast Trust.
